I had Chinese food for lunch...

I need a little hope right now, so I have taped the little slip of paper with my fortune on it to my computer. I am sending out good vibes to the universe... I am asking the universe to respond with a resounding "YES"

'Tis the Season

Holiday stress.... we all have it right? I feel like my stress level has increased this week, and after listing for myself what I was stressed about I realized that yes, in fact, I have reason to be stressed. I shall share...

1) Father-in-law scheduled to have major surgery on the Friday before Christmas
2) Older sister scheduled to have minor surgery on the Friday before Christmas
3) Father is "calling off Christmas"
4) The amount of money in my account does not accommodate shopping
5) Waiting to hear about getting a new apartment... Will we qualify for this cool apartment?
6) General family drama
7) Having to give the small dog back to her rightful owner
8) More family drama
9) I'm not sure what number 9 is, but it is stressful
10) General work stress... when are they going to find out I don't know what I am doing! hehe

I am not usually this stressed about the Holidays, but this year is extra special.

My Morning Commute...

At 8:46 I exit the subway station and join the massive herd of people trying to cross the street. I hear splashing and since it isn't raining, I look to see what the sound is.

There is a man a few feet away from me standing on the curb with a Coke can in his hand. He is pouring the contents out into the gutter. I am confused, so I continue watching. Why would this man pour out what appears to be a perfectly good can of Coke?

After emptying the can, he opens up his bag and pulls out a can of Coors... He then proceeds to pour the contents of the can of Coors into the empty can of Coke. When he finished this difficult, but practiced move (the beer is foamy) he takes a quick drink and is on his way across the street with the rest of us.

Huh?

I have so many questions. All of which are not important since my attention is quickly captured by a man on the other side of the street screaming at the top of his lungs "JEEESSSUUUSSS" over and over.

Off to work I go!
