Chew Chew
She really loves a good chew. I love this picture... I enjoy her paw holding the chew, her open mouth and her "what?" expression on her face.
Slow cooker
My first attempt at a whole chicken in the slow cooker. I am nervous leaving this thing on all day at home, but quite frankly, I run the dishwasher when I am not there, and well... the fridge is plugged in all the time, right?
So, this better be good, 'cause I have been thinking about it all day!

Go 49ers!!!
I saw Joe Montana last night... I spent my formative years watching Joe and discussing him with my Dad. Quite a treat, I must say.

Taking Rooms From Drab to Fab
Ok, so I love before and after stories... really I love them, whether it is design, makeovers, anything! So on the Early Show they did a decorating before and after and it is hysterical! The best picture on how to spice up your design is of an EMPTY TABLE, then they ADD THINGS and call it an After shot. Hysterical!
Follow the link and you will see the picture I am talking about. Made me laugh so hard.

Need to sleep for a week
We had an amazing weekend with Erica... between Yankee games, long walks in both parks, American Idiot on Broadway, Becco, Carmines... I am exhausted. More than exhausted... I am close to death. Well, almost...
Noodles is so sad to see Erica go. I think that Noodles thinks I brought Erica home just for her to play with. Poor little thing is lost without her Kansas City Human toy...

Walking to lunch in my office building
Tourist walks up to me and asks: "Where is 30 Rock?"
Since we are literally standing in 30 Rockefeller I say: "Here..."
Tourist looks at me like I am an idiot: "No, the show"
I reply: "On TV"
...and I walk away.
No more interactions with tourists....

Bit of a busy week!
This is proving to be a bit of a crazy week. We've had visitors, Yankee games, graduation and spa treatments all in one week!
Noodles is set to graduate from her Puppy Kindergarden this Thursday... I really hope she nails the 'down' command... that one is hard for her. I think it is because she is already so close to the ground, she can't figure out what I want her to do!
I had an old friend come to stay with us for a few nights while he is here working in the city... it is slightly stressful since he is our first real guest and we are still trying to figure out where to put people in our small apartment! But Noodles seems to enjoy the company.
The husband and I went to a Yankee game on Wednesday! It is my first at the new stadium and it was the second home game of the season. It was really fun! It was a day game, so we both took off early from work, which sadly added to my stress, as I had a lot to do!
And the most exciting part of the week comes tonight when my bff arrives. (does it date me that I use that term?) We have lots planned for this trip so I am really looking forward to it. She is coming all the way from KC, back to her old stomping grounds, so we always have fun. We've got a Yankee game tomorrow night (I know I was just there, but why not go twice in one week?.... exactly!) We've also got a Broadway show on Saturday night and dinner at Carmines on Sunday. So excited!
I also got a massage from a lovely spa on Tuesday, and The husbands friend Chavez is coming into town for a photo shoot and will join us for the Yankee game! So it is chock-full of fun week!
I will attempt to post some pictures soon... I have been unable to lately as blogger doesn't seem to want me to... huh.

Morning
The Husband made me a delicious smoothie this morning for breakfast. I tend not to eat breakfast, but when I do I always love it... and always ask why I don't do it everyday. They say I am healthier if I eat breakfast. I hope they are right, whoever they are.

My Toe
Toes are an important appendage. Last night while walking Noodles, I found out that when you smack them into the sidewalk, it is hard to continue to walk. I also found out that you can almost crush your small dog if you fall on her. Third thing I learned, your husband apparently has the right to laugh at you when you smash your foot into the sidewalk and almost crush your dog while walking down the street. But don't worry, he asked if I was ok.
Noodles is really doing great on her walks. She starts out hopping around like a bunny and darting in front of us, but quickly learns that we stop and stare at her if she does that, and then she falls in line next to us. She is less interested in small dogs her size, and LOVES to sniff the big dogs. She has also decided that peeing on the sidewalk is uncooth, but the grass is ok. So she waits until we get all the way to the park before she will go. She has also decided that pooing in the privacy of our apartment is her preference and will hold it until we get home... I guess the learing eyes of onlookers is too much for her bowel.

Really? Happy Easter Lady!
Yesterday, I witnessed a woman pull her car over to the side of Amsterdam Ave... open her door, shove out her various pieces of garbage, shut her door and merge slowly back into traffic. I stopped dead in my tracks and couldn't even think of what to say or do.
Happy Easter Lady!
