Yes!

According to the flowers in Central Park it is just - almost - kinda - SPRING!  Last night on our walk through Central Park, Noodles and I spied this group of flowers.  I stopped to take a picture while Noodles expertly wrapped her leash around my legs 5 + times in order to help me fall.  I assume she wanted me to get closer to the flowers.....

Lovely Fall Day

Noodles loves leaves.... she always has.  When she was a tiny puppy and saw a leaf, so charged after it and ate it.  Now, when we walk, she does the same thing for EACH LEAF WE COME ACROSS.  This makes for an interesting walk during autumn when a whole lot of leaves have fallen.

The first picture above is of her watching the leaves float around her, causing her hunting skills to come to life.  The second one is when I told her I had a "treat" and she finally paid attention to me.

I am a bit miffed that it is already November.  Where did summer go?  I do enjoy fall, but it seems like it is going to be pretty short, and we are going to move right into winter, which I am not a fan of.  It is also getting more and more difficult to take Noodles out on her evening walks.  It is DARK OUT by the time I get home and get her leash on and get outside.  She doesn't seem to mind, but out walk to Central Park is getting less and less safe as each day goes by.  We are going to have to come up with another route.

Recovery & A Windy Weekend

Tree's were toppled, and glass broke at 30 Rock and Noodles recovered fine from her surgery.

So, overall we had a good weekend. It was the perfect weekend to stay indoors and watch over our little pup, since the weather proved deadly.

We really didn't leave the apartment for almost 2 days! Noodles loved it of course, although I am not sure she would even remember it as so was hopped up on drugs and didn't come out of her little puppy coma until Sunday morning.

Her little 1/2 inch scar looks terrible... but normal I suppose. Let's just say her vet isn't really trained in plastic surgery, but I guess it is ok as I don't think any of her dates will be looking at her belly.

Other than bad weather and a pup under the weather, the husband and I just puttered around the apartment and hung some shelves and got the apartment just a small step closer to having visitors.

Beautiful weekend...

I can't believe how beautiful this weekend turned out to be. Usually by February or March I am craving nice weather so terribly that I have been known to cry. For some reason, this year I have not had such a terrible time with the weather. Strange, since it has been the coldest and snowyest I have ever experienced since moving to New York. I think I have just been too busy to notice. Between work, Noodles and moving back to the UWS - I never had a moment to stop and think about how cold I was. So it was a great surprise to take a walk in Central Park this weekend without my fluffy winter coat! We also have wonderful steam heat again, so I am usually nice a cozy in this new apartment... in contrast to freezing my a'ss off last year at this time in our central heated- Brooklyn - cold apartment.
